Mr James Su is the Managing Director – Investment at Haitong International Asset Management (HK) Ltd., and responsible for fixed income investment. He manages the Haitong Global RMB Bond Fund (the public fund approved by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission), awarded a four-star rating from Morningstar, “Outstanding Achiever Haitong Global RMB Fixed Income Fund” from Benchmark in 2014, “Best RMB Offshore Fund – 5 Years” from Asia Asset Management in 2015 and “Best of the Best Awards – Best RMB Offshore Fund – 7 Years” from Asia Asset Management in 2017. Prior joining Haitong Asset Management, Mr Su worked at SinoPac Asset Management (Asia) Ltd as portfolio manager of high yield dim sum bond fund and RMB money market funds. He also worked for Yuanta Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd, managing Global Financial Securitization Fund and Global Bond Fund. Before that, Mr. Su worked for AIG Investments as manager of the largest Taiwan-domiciled international bond fund in 2007 and 2008, and won the Taipei Foundation of Finance Award of the Best International Bond Fund based on the fund performance of 2008 as well as ranked 1st round-up by Asia Financier Monthly for 2008 Top Ten Best Taiwan-domiciled Fund Managers. He had managed the Global Fund of Funds and also designed the first-ever Global High Yield Bond Fund domiciled in Taiwan. Prior to that, Mr Su worked in Fidelity Investments Fund Research Department, specializing in emerging markets and global macroeconomics. He received Fidelity Investments Year 2000 Contribution Award. He holds BBA degree in International Trade from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan. He is also a CFA charterholder since 2003 and past president, founding CFA Society Taiwan in 2007.
